An American actor who began her career as an assistant choreographer and dancer, Forrest danced with Fred Astaire during an early role in Easter Parade (1948). Her first lead role came in Not Wanted (1949) and she went on to star in The Strange Door (1951) and While The City Sleeps (1956).

26 de mar. de 2015 · LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sally Forrest, an actress-dancer who graced the silver screen throughout the ‘40s and ‘50s in MGM musicals and films such as the 1956 noir “While the City Sleeps,” died on March 15 at her home in Beverly Hills, California. She was 86 and had long battled cancer. Her publicist, Judith Goffin, announced the news Thursday.
