Yale-NUS College is a liberal arts college in Singapore. Established in 2011 as a collaboration between Yale University and the National University of Singapore, it is the first Liberal Arts college in Singapore and one of the first few in Asia. Yale College, the undergraduate branch of Yale University, offers instruction in more than 120 subjects spanning the liberal arts, sciences, and engineering. Its signature residential college system and expansive extracurricular programs sustain a supportive community of students, staff, scholars, and researchers.
Students who qualify for financial aid receive a need-based Yale Scholarship that can vary from a few thousand dollars to over $80,000 per year. Affordable. For Everyone. Families whose total gross income is less than $75,000 (with typical assets) are not expected to make a contribution towards their child’s Yale education.
To The Yale Community, I write to you today to announce decisions regarding (a) the title of “master” in the residential colleges, (b) the name of Calhoun College, and (c) the names for Yale’s two new residential colleges. These decisions are the product of extensive consultation involving students, faculty, alumni, administrators, and the fellows of the Yale Corporation.
For matriculating students, top scores on AP or IB exams can, in some cases, be used for the purposes of course placement or acceleration (i.e. completing the requirements for an undergraduate degree in fewer than 8 semesters).
