18 de jul. de 2023 · Raúl Juliá falleció el 24 de octubre de 1994, luego de haber batallado un cáncer por alrededor de un año. En su honor, el Hunger Project estableció el Raúl Juliá Ending Hunger Fund que presenta a su vez el Raúl Juliá Global Citizen Award, un premio que se otorga anualmente a actores comprometidos con acciones humanitarias.
