The Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, also known as NRS Medical College (formerly Campbell Medical College), is a public medical school and hospital in Kolkata, India. It is located in Sealdah, in the heart of Kolkata. The medical college was established on 1 December 1873 as Sealdah Medical School.
Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College is a Govt. run Medical Teaching Institution and it offers UG/PG/PD courses. All admissions are through NEET UG/PG/SS examinations. 15% of the MBBS seats are filled up from All India Quota and 85% are from State Quota.
During its long journey over the last 146 years, Nilratan Sircar Medical College has grown both physically and intellectually. Presently it offers Under Graduate (250 intake annually), Post Graduate (in 19 disciplines) as well as Post Doctoral courses (in 11 disciplines).
