Lary Larden – lead singer and rhythm guitar (acoustical guitar and autoharp) Born in Brooklyn, New York on August 10, 1945; Graduated from Brooklyn College and did graduate school at Columbia University; Started professional career in music at sixteen, playing and signing at local cabana clubs and colleges.
Rhythm and acoustic guitarist Lary Larden filled the lead singer role and his brother, Dennis, played lead guitar and banjo. Bruce Milner handled all keyboard instruments (as a child he and his brother sang together as Barry and Bruce , going through their paces for about 15 years).

Their first single, “Come on Down to My Boat” hit the Top 10 and remains a feel-good favorite. EMS’ singles charted three more times, but none reached the Top 40 again.
