Columbia University, officially Columbia University in the City of New York, is a private Ivy League research university in New York City. Established in 1754 as King's College on the grounds of Trinity Church in Manhattan, it is the oldest institution of higher education in New York and the fifth-oldest in the United States.
The Office of Government and Community Affairs is the University’s primary liaison with federal, state, and local government, as well as with residents, community leaders, and civic organizations in surrounding neighborhoods.

Campus Tours. Tours of Columbia's campus last one hour and check in at the Columbia Visitors Center, temporarily located at the Hepburn Lounge, Uris Hall, for the Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters.
