Wilhelm Wolff Beer (Berlín, 4 de enero de 1777 – Berlín, 27 de marzo de 1850) fue un banquero y astrónomo amateur alemán conocido por hacer el primer mapa exacto de la superficie de la Luna. Su hermano fue el compositor Giacomo Meyerbeer.

Wilhelm Beer (born Jan. 4, 1797, Berlin [Germany]—died March 27, 1850, Berlin) was a German banker and amateur astronomer who (with Johann Heinrich von Mädler) constructed the most complete map of the Moon of his time, Mappa Selenographica (1836).
Mappa Selenographica es un atlas lunar publicado entre 1834 y 1836 en 4 partes, obra de los astrónomos alemanes Wilhelm Beer (1777-1850) y Johann Heinrich von Mädler (1794-1874). Fue la cartografía más detallada de la Luna durante cuarenta años, hasta la aparición del mapa de Julius Schmidt (1825-1884) publicado en 1878. 1 .
