6 de mar. de 2023 · Former SSU baseball player Alex Crosby was named to the 2023 Great Britain roster as he helped them qualify for the first time in the country's history in the World Baseball Classic. Crosby has been playing independent baseball for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs since 2021.
Alex Crosby has played in the independent leagues and for the Great Britain national team. His cousin Jon Jones has played in the US and Mexico. Crosby hit .268/.329/.336 as a college junior after transferring from Solano Junior College. He improved to .365/.407/.514 as a senior.
