Patter is Pat Thomson, Professor of Education in the School of Education, The University of Nottingham. My research is centred primarily on how schools might change to be more engaging and meaningful for more children and young people.
Patricia Elizabeth Thomson (born 7 September 1940 in London, England – 18 April 1992 in Sydney, Australia) was an English-born Australian television and film actress. In Sydney, she appeared as Goneril in King Lear and as the "sad-sack clown" in Clowneroonies, by Geoffrey Rush. In 1991, she played Doris in Boys From The Bush.
Pat Thomson (1940-1992) was a British-born Australian actress and writer, known for Strictly Ballroom, Malpractice and The Weekly's War. She died before the premiere of her last movie Strictly Ballroom in 1992.

Professor Pat Thomson PSM PhD FAcSS FRSA is known for her interdisciplinary engagement with questions of creative and socially just learning and change. Much of this work has been in collaboration with Professor Christine Hall.
