Ludwig Stössel (12 February 1883 – 29 January 1973) was an actor born in Lockenhaus, now Austria, then Hungary. He was one of many Jewish actors and actresses who were forced to flee Germany when the Nazis came to power in 1933.

Born and educated in Austria, actor Ludwig Stossel worked with many of the mittel-European theatrical powerhouses, including the great Max Reinhardt. The Nazi anschluss prompted Stossel to emigrate to England in 1938, where he began his film career.
