James Nicholas Righton (Stratford-upon-Avon; 25 de agosto de 1983) es un músico británico conocido por haber sido el vocalista, teclista y bajista de la banda de new rave, Klaxons, la cual se separó en 2015. James Nicholas Righton (born 25 August 1983) is a British musician. As well as singing, he was the keyboard-player of the London-based new rave band Klaxons, which disbanded in 2015. In March 2016, Righton announced his new project Shock Machine with a video directed by Saam Farahmand.

James Righton. “Very happy to announce my new album JIM, I’M STILL HERE will be released on July 8th on DEEWEE. It has been produced between myself and Soulwax, and the first single ‘Pause’ is out now. The alter ego of "Jim" came to me whilst promoting my previous album ‘The Performer’ during the first week of lockdown, in March 2020.
James Righton is a London based artist, composer and producer. After reaching unfathomable levels of success with nu-rave originators Klaxons, winning the 2007 Mercury Prize for their debut album Myths of The Near Future, James morphed into one man pop sensation Shock Machine, releasing an acclaimed 2017 album before his first solo adventure under his own name, 2020’s The Performer.
