Eliakim Hastings Moore (/ ɪ ˈ l aɪ ə k ɪ m /; January 26, 1862 – December 30, 1932), usually cited as E. H. Moore or E. Hastings Moore, was an American mathematician.

Our E. H. Moore, the son of D. H. Moore, was married in Columbus, Ohio, on June 21, 1892, to Martha Morris Young, who survives him. She is a sister of John Wes-ley Young, late professor of mathematics at Dartmouth College, the memories of whose friendship and achievements are cher-ished possessions of mathematicians in this country.
E. H. Moore’s Retiring Address as AMS President took place in 1902. Moore had a firm commitment to both teaching and research, but the theme of his address centered on mathematics education.

25 de oct. de 2004 · In this paper we exhibit some different methods for computing the Moore–Penrose inverse of different type of matrices. We discuss the Moore–Penrose inverse of block matrices, full-rank factorization. We give some numerical computations relative to this theory.
