The Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1966. [3] The band is led by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals. The group had a string of mid- to late-1970s hit singles that are staples of classic rock radio, as well as several earlier psychedelic rock albums.

23 de feb. de 2018 · De esta manera, muchos aficionados al rock supieron del tema original, “Serenade”, compuesto por Chris McCarty y por Steve Miller, un estadounidense que creció entre músicos de jazz, con un padrino como el guitarrista Les Paul –amigo de la familia- y maestros del blues como Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf o Buddy Guy.
Cuando firmaron con Capitol Records en 1967, acortaron su nombre al definitivo: Steve Miller Band. El cuarteto de Miller, James Cook (guitarrista), Lonnie Turner (bajista) y Tim Davis (batería) tocó con Chuck Berry en un concierto en el Fillmore West, que más tarde se editaría como álbum en vivo.
