Hace 1 día · Mydland was the keyboardist for the Grateful Dead for 11 years until his death by narcotics overdose in July 1990, becoming the third keyboardist to die. Shortly after Mydland found his place in the early 1980s, Garcia's health began to decline.
Brent Mydland. Brent Mydland took over as the Grateful Dead’s keyboardist and vocalist from 1979 until his death in 1990. His tenure with the band saw him contribute to albums such as Go to Heaven, In the Dark, and Built to Last, offering a distinctively husky voice and skilled keyboard play.

Hace 10 horas · In 1990, Brent Mydland, keyboard player for the "Grateful Dead," was found dead of a drug overdose in his home in Lafayette, Calif. He was 37. Mydland wrote the well-known "Dead" tune "Far From Me." In 1991, Holly Dunn and Warner Brothers Records asked radio stations and video outlets to stop playing the country singer's "Maybe I Mean Yes."
