In addition to his busy schedule as a Jazz, Latin and Classical bassist, Robinson plays cello and recorder, and is a composer, copyist and arranger. Among artists with whom he has recorded are Angel Canales, Valerie Capers, Dakota Staton, and Abby Lincoln.
The band's debut album, The Cockroaches was released in March 1987 and featured Robinson on bass guitar. The album was produced by Charles Fisher, who had worked with other artists such as Radio Birdman, Hoodoo Gurus, Martin Plaza; [17] [18] one track was produced by Roy Nicolson. [18]
