  3. 17 de may. de 2013 · Boris Chaliapin was the portrait artist Time magazines editors turned to first when they needed a cover in a hurry. As Time’s most prolific artist, he created 413 covers for the publication during his 28-year career, between 1942 and 1970.

  4. This collection of 26 original works by Chaliapin features portraits of such icons as Marilyn Monroe, Olivia de Havilland, Harry Truman, Muhammad Ali and Child who appeared on Time’s cover. These portraits were created in a variety of media and include graphite, watercolor and oil on canvas.
