Charles Barry (1795-1860) was a British architect who rebuilt the Palace of Westminster and designed many other buildings and gardens in the Italianate style. He travelled extensively in Europe and the Middle East, and was influenced by the Palazzo Farnese and the Palazzo Strozzi.
