Victor Albert George Child Villiers, 7th Earl of Jersey, GCB, GCMG, PC, JP, DL (20 March 1845 – 31 May 1915) was a British banker, Conservative politician and colonial administrator from the Villiers family. He served as Governor of New South Wales between 1891 and 1893.
Victor Albert George Child-Villiers was born on 20 March 1845. He was the son of George Augustus Frederick Child-Villiers, 6th Earl of Jersey, and his wife Julia Peel, eldest daughter of the British Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel. He was educated at Eton College.

Child-Villiers succeeded to his father's titles and estates at the age of fourteen while still at school. An enthusiastic athlete, he represented Oxford in the mile race at the first Oxford versus Cambridge athletics meeting in 1865.
On account of the considerable wealth brought to the family through this marriage, in 1819, Lord Jersey assumed by Royal licence the surname and arms of Child, and since then the branch of the family has been known as Child-Villiers. [1] On his death, the titles passed to his son, the sixth Earl.
